Lorenz "Lo" Walker 2005-Present
On July 1, 2005, Lo Walker, a highly-decorated retired Air Force Colonel with a Master’s degree in Business Administration, began his first term as the Mayor of Bossier City. Prior to his election, Walker served as both chief administrator and executive assistant under Mayor Dement during a time of tremendous growth for the city. He also served as executive director of the Bossier City Civic Center.
He continues to manage development, especially on the northern and southern ends of the city and along the riverfront. He is working to alleviate traffic and to form a stronger partnership between the Bossier Parish Police Jury and City government. He is also placing a high priority on building up homeland security.
