Members of the Bossier City Fire Department are once again going pink throughout the entire month of October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Many firefighters and staff will be sporting specially designed black pullover polos that feature an embroidered pink BCFD patch, pink ribbon on the right sleeve, name and rank in pink and large pink ribbon on the back.

Chief Brad Zagone is giving Bossier City firefighters the option to purchase the shirts at their own expense to wear while on duty this month.  This is the third year that Bossier City firefighters will be wearing the Breast Cancer Awareness duty shirts during the month of October.

Meanwhile the Bossier City Fire Department is continuing sales of its popular BCFD Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirts to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Northwest Louisiana affiliate. The t-shirts - available in pink, royal blue and heather blue - feature pink breast cancer awareness ribbons with "Bossier City Fire Department" prominently displayed on the back and "BCFD" on the left chest.

The t-shirts are available to the public at just $10 each with proceeds going to Susan G. Komen. T-shirt orders will continue until 4 p.m. October 15, 2015.  Orders can be placed by calling the Bossier City Fire Department at (318) 741-8700.

The black polo duty shirts are not available for sale to the public.
