Northwest Louisiana Veterans Home Ground
Breaking
On April 15, 2005 a ground breaking ceremony
was held for the Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Homes
on the Arthur Ray Teague Parkway in Bossier City. Several
federal, state and local dignitaries attended the event
including Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary
and Assistant Adjutant General of the Louisiana National
Guard Brigadier General Hunt Downer. The $24 million, 90,000
square foot complex will provide medical care and nursing
home care to Louisiana veterans.
