The Special Investigation Division is comprised of three units that take a proactive approach at targeting specific crimes.
Combined Narcotics Task Force
The Bossier Combined Narcotics Task Force is comprised of agents from the Bossier City Police Department and the Bossier Sheriff's Office. It was established in 2012 by Chief of Police Shane McWilliams and Sheriff Julian Whittington as a combined effort to combat illegal drug activity and associated crimes all throughout Bossier Parish.
Vice Unit
The Vice Unit is responsible for enforcing the city's alcoholic beverage laws. Its duties include monitoring businesses for compliance and addressing the use of alcohol and tobacco by minors. The unit is also responsible for monitoring and targeting offenders involved in prostitution activity.
