Bossier Council On Aging
Since 1975, Bossier Council On Aging has provided services to seniors (over 60), of Bossier Parish that allow them to remain independent and to remain active in our communities.

Fire & Police Civil Service Board
Article 10, Section 16, of the Louisiana Constitution of 1975, and Act 282 of 1964 provide for systems of Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service. A local civil service board is created to administer the system in each jurisdiction for small municipalities.

Bossier City Charter Commission
In December 2023 the Bossier City Council approved via Ordinance the creation of Bossier City’s third ever Charter Review Commission. The group will meet to consider changes to the city’s Home Rule Charter that was last amended in 2005. Any proposed changes will be placed on a ballot for consideration by the citizens within 18 months of the creation of the Charter Review Commission.
