All powers of the city shall be vested in the council, except as otherwise provided by law or this charter, and the council shall provide for the exercise thereof and for the performance of all duties and obligation imposed on the city by law.
The Bossier City-Parish Metropolitan Planning Commission was established by Act 189 of 1954 of the Louisiana Legislature and authorized by the City of Bossier City and Bossier Parish to provide for comprehensive planning and orderly development in the City of Bossier City and the unincorporated part of Bossier Parish lying within 5 miles of the City.
