Fleet Services

The Department of Fleet Services maintains all vehicles and equipment that is owned by the City of Bossier City. The Department of Fleet Services controls 6 divisions:
  1. Administration
  2. Maintenance
  3. Parts Department
  4. Small Engines
  5. Tire Shop
  6. Welding Shop

Responsibilities

Administration Division

The Administration Division directs all incoming calls, data entry, processing work orders, maintenance scheduling, payroll, and personnel records.

Maintenance Division

The Maintenance Division employs qualified maintenance technicians to fill authorized positions for which funds are appropriated to the Fleet Services Department.

Parts Division

The Parts Division controls the inventory of parts and supplies and processing all invoices for the repair of all city vehicles and equipment.

Small Engines

The Small Engines and Welding shops employ qualified technicians to service a variety of city equipment. The Tire shop technicians are responsible for repair or replacement of worn or damaged tires.

Fleet Services also has operational control of the city's fuel system which entails making all city fuel cards, monitoring all fuel data and compiling fuel reports. Fleet Services number 1 priority is to keep the Bossier City's fleet safe and the envy of most municipalities.
